Students in my class are trying to use the DS3502 as a way to change the wave frequency on a waveform generator. The DS3502 page says its resistance values will range from 0-10k, and when I measure the resistance across RL and RH the resistance is indeed 10k. But when I start to run the digital potentiometer and try to adjust the wiper position, the resistance between RH and RW is ranging between 5k - 15k. Some students are getting other random ranges like 14k - 24k and some have had resistance values in the 100's of kilohms. Any thoughts as to what might be happening here and how we can set the potentiometer to move from 0-10k?
Thank you

How do you have the DS3502 connected?
