STEMMA Soil Sensor and Microbit

Post by grosse_hund »

Has anyone used a Microbit with the STEMMA Soil Sensor? What connections are needed? I need 20 for a summer camp activity. Thanks!

The STEMMA soil sensor uses an I2C connection as detailed in https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-ste ... ure-sensor. On the micro:bit that corresponds to edge connector pins 19/SCL & 20/SDA, plus 3.3v and ground. See https://learn.adafruit.com/use-micro-bi ... other-gpio.

There is a video using cap sensor that is not the Adafruit soil sensor and several using resistive sensors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rv4lb-U9QUU
