RE: Running Some Software and Making My BBB Go/Seth

Hello,

Here is my issue...

Option log level is not valid. Please refer to the README.
Option browser client minification is not valid. Please refer to the README.
Option browser client etag is not valid. Please refer to the README.
Server running on: http://192.168.1.8:8080

/root/node_modules/bonescript/src/hw_mainline.js:84
if(!pinmux) { throw p + " was not found under " + my.is_ocp(); }
^
ocp:P9_14_pinmux was not found under /sys/devices/platform/ocp

I do not know what this means. In the "Please refer to the README" section of this issue gives no clue to me on where I should look. I went to github.com to see the README on the book I was using, i.e. a book by Christopher Rush, "30 Beaglebone Black Projects."

Now, I went to the "Compiling an Overlay" section on this site for the Beaglebone Black. I attempted to follow instruction. It was a success but the P9_14 pin is still not found under /sys/devices/platform/ocp.

Seth

P.S. If you have any feedback, please let me know. I sure could use some assistance on this issue. Oh and if you need the software I am using, please tell me. I can supply the software easily.

It would be useful to know more about the system software on your BeagleBone. Please copy and paste the output of these commands:

cat /etc/debian_version

cat /etc/dogtag

uname -a

Also, you may want to try the latest Debian image on your BeagleBone:

Seth

P.S. Thank you for the help.

BeagleBoard.org Debian Image 2016-09-18

Linux beaglebone 4.8.0-rc6-armv7-x2 #1 SMP Wed Sep 14 05:29:41 UTC 2016 armv7l GNU/Linux

8.6

These are the readouts from using those commands. Does this help any?

How are you seeing the error you mention?
Option log level is not valid. Please refer to the README.
Option browser client minification is not valid. Please refer to the README.
Option browser client etag is not valid. Please refer to the README.

Is it when you visit http://192.168.1.8:8080/ in your web browser?

It appears that you are using Debian Image Testing Snapshot image based on your /etc/dogtag ("BeagleBoard.org Debian Image 2016-09-18"). These snapshot images are regularly produced by Robert C. Nelson and are intended for testing new releases. The beagleboard mailing list is the best place to discuss issues with theses snapshot images.

I'd suggest instead using the Debian 8 (Jessie) or Debian 7 (Wheezy) image listed at:
http://beagleboard.org/latest-images

Hello,

The error I mentioned is before the "Server Running at 192.168.x.x:8080. Then, it states that the server is running at so and so.

Seth

P.S. It is on the console, i.e. PuTTY via my BBB on a Microsoft computer.

Jessie for BeagleBone via microSD card
Debian 8.5 2016-05-13 4GB SD LXQT image for BeagleBone, BeagleBone Black, SeeedStudio BeagleBone Green, SeeedStudio BeagleBone Green Wireless, SanCloud BeagleBone Enhanced, element14 BeagleBone Black Industrial, Arrow BeagleBone Black Industrial and Mentorel BeagleBone uSomIQ - more info - bmap - sha256sum: 28d67e877497fb9e52fe605f2cbefdbaedaff23e9fa82e9ed2076ae375aa777f

This Debian 8.5 is actually Debian 8.4. 2016-05-13 4GB SD LXQT. I downloaded it and I got 8.4 instead of 8.5.

Seth

P.S. I went to beagleboard.org to their "latest software images."

Could you take a screenshot or photo of the error that you are seeing on the screen? I'd like to better understand the context in which the error you reported occurs.

Thanks. Could you please paste the contents of project16.js? I'll try to replicate this on my beaglebone.

Hello,

Here it is...oh and thank you very much. I did not know that people actually supported others while they attempt to produce on the BBB. Thank you, again.

Seth

P.S. There is a HTML file too but your website will not allow me to paste it. I am sorry.
