Beaglebone time and date setting issue

by ashmadan on Sun Oct 30, 2016 6:30 pm

I have not been able to set the correct time zone and also not been able to set the date and time upon boot-up. I followed the directions on Adafruit wifi setting, where it shows how to set time. Issuing the commands in your directions, I executed in ssh as well as terminal. I get a respons command not found.
If I use the Beaglebone as a linux computer, it has the desktop, but the menu item in it does not give me the option of selecting the time zone. It just has the UTC time.I do have the latest image of 5/2016.

Please help me with setting the date and time so that it sets every time I boot it

Thanks

Ash Madan

Please copy and paste what you are seeing on the screen, or take a screenshot and post here.

Also, it would be good to know what system software you have on the BeagleBone.

Please paste the output of:

cat /etc/dogtag
uname -a
