Where can I find Adafruit's BeagleBone image?

by kens on Fri Jan 20, 2017 3:37 am

I messed up my BeagleBone and need to reflash it from the SD card. I want to restore to the Debian version that Adafruit ships (Debian 3.8.13-bone79 kernel) but I can't find the .img file for that version anywhere. The BeagleBone site (https://beagleboard.org/latest-images) only has newer images. I would rather not deal with upgrading to the Jessie version and dealing with various incompatibilities.

So how can I get my BeagleBone back to its original state? Can anyone point me at the right .img.xy file?

Thanks,
Ken

The Debian Wheezy (7.x) images are still linked on BeagleBoard.org under "Older Debian images":

This is the most recent Wheezy image and it will have the 3.8.13 kernel:

Awesome! That image (3.8.13-bone80) works great for me.
