Beaglebone Black Rev C PWR Issue (Dead)

Post by aborrego1 »

Dear Forum Admin,

I have contacted Adafruit support about the issue and was told I would need to post the issue before a replacement can be made. I purchased a Beaglebone Black Rev C along with the 5V adapter. After minor use the Beaglebone suddenly died, when I tired to re-power it either through USB or 5V the PWR LED flashes once and no power is given. I have tested using different USB cables/Adapters and even tried different USB port and the same result occurs, is it possible I can send it in for an exchange?

My Order Number: 1471164
I have not attached any pictures of the Beaglebone because like noted above it is hard to capture the PWR LED flashing once when connected to power.

The Power LED blinking once and no other activity is symptom of hardware failure, most likely the power management IC. It can not be repaired.

Please email [email protected] with a link to this post for a replacement BBB

Thanks,
Drew
