Once More and Another Issue...Hello,

Seth here, sir. I performed your idea and still I received issues:

With this setup for the Library/MotorBridge.py:

Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
from Adafruit_GPIO.I2C import Adafruit_GPIO.I2C
import Adafruit_GPIO.I2C as I2C
import Adafruit_GPIO as GPIO
import time
Reset = "P9_23"
MotorBridge = Adafruit_GPIO.I2C(0x49)
GPIO.setup(Reset, GPIO.OUT)

I receive these issues:

Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "mbcUse.py", line 1, in <module>
    import MotorBridge
  File "/home/debian/MotorBridgeCapeforBBG_BBB/BBG_MotorBridgeCape/MotorBridge.py", line 33
    from Adafruit_GPIO.I2C import Adafruit_GPIO.I2C
                                                                                   ^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

And w/ this setup for the MotorBridge.py library:

Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
import Adafruit_GPIO.I2C as I2C
import Adafruit_GPIO as GPIO
import time
Reset = "P9_23"
MotorBridge = Adafruit_GPIO.I2C(0x49)
GPIO.setup(Reset, GPIO.OUT)

I receive this message as an error:

Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "mbcUse.py", line 1, in <module>
    import MotorBridge
  File "/home/debian/MotorBridgeCapeforBBG_BBB/BBG_MotorBridgeCape/MotorBridge.py", line 37, in <module>
    MotorBridge = Adafruit_GPIO.I2C(0x49)
NameError: name 'Adafruit_GPIO' is not defined

I think w/out me being able to make a "from" and an "import" to the Adafruit_GPIO.I2C library, I am stuck in limbo, e.g. at least so far.

like this:

Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
from Adafruit_GPIO.I2C import Adafruit_GPIO.I2C

What do you make of it?

Seth

I think it would be more productive if you could please open a GitHub issue in the repo. That would make the issue easier to track than a forum post here.

Yes Sir,

Sorry to bug you for so long. I will try to read the repo. at the GitHub.com site and get more info. before proceeding.

Seth

P.S. Thank you for your support thus far. Yea boy! Oh and I am sticking w/ the Adafruit_BBIO as an I2C library for now. I have faith that I can figure it out again and again. I will keep you updated one day, some day, one day not too far from today.

Hello Sir,

Seth here. I think you wanted me to post on the GitHub.com repo and I did here: https://github.com/adafruit/adafruit-be ... issues/235.

Seth

P.S. For "hoots," I put down my "reasoning" for making the Motor Bridge Cape library (MotorBridge.py) work w/ your tech. of the Adafruit_BBIO. Mowers!
