Dip, instead of square?..
Hello, im new to the board! ive been trying to gather parts lately to build my first mintymp3. For my microprocessor i ordered a pic18lf452-i/p But it came in the 28 pin DIP format, instead of the "square" type that i need. Im wondering if there is some way that i can retrofit this to work?

It is probably possible, but it would be far easier to order the other part. Your time and effort are probably worth the cost of eating (metaphorically, of course) the chip you have, assuming you don't find a use for it in another project.cervan wrote:Im wondering if there is some way that i can retrofit this to work?
Be careful when ordering chips to make sure you get the correct package. The package suffix is often part of the full part number.
