I recently puchased Raspberry Pi Zero W Camera Pack - Includes Pi Zero W[ID:3414] in Order 1805893
I imaged a new 32GB SanDisk microSDHC with 2018-06-27-raspbian-stretch-lite and put it in the Raspberry Pi Zero W.
Then I connected the camera board to the Raspberry Pi Zero W with the mini camera cable included in the kit.
I also connected a monitor via a miniHDMI adapter, a threee port USB hub with ethernet to the microUSB socket labeled "USB", and a 5V 2.5A power supply to the microUSB socket labeled "PWR". After boot up I used raspi-config to set localization and I enabeled the Raspberry Pi Camera.
I tried using raspistill to capture an image, but it didn't work. So I shutdown the Raspberry Pi and removed the power cable.
Then I removed the ribon cable from both ends and reattached the ribon cable again.
Then I checked the voltage at ic labeled U3 on the backside of the board and got 3.308 Volts. I tried using the raspistill command
Code: Select all
pi@node:~ $ raspistill -v -o test.jpg

On an ESD safe mat I detached the camera board from the ribon cable and removed the camera module from the board.
Then I reattached the camera module to the board and felt a good snap as it connected.
I reattached the ribon cable to the camera board and then reattached power to the Raspberry Pi Zero W.
It rebooted normally and then I checked the power at the U3 chip on the back of the camera board and again got 3.308 V
I tried raspistill again
