Raspberry Pi 4 no HDMI Picade Coole Moderators: adafruit_support_bill, adafruit

I have just finished building the Raspberry Pi 4 and there is no HDMI signal. I have tried different hdmi cables and a combination of tv's and computer monitors.
I downloaded RetroPie OS as recommended in the instructions and tried it multiple times and have the micro sd card formatted correctly. I have also check the seating of the sd card multiple times.

I see online that this is an issue with Raspberry Pi 4 and HDMI.

Please advise on how to fix this. Below I have included what I purchased

What happens if you just install the Raspian OS? That would clear out any hardware problems.

Yes, I have tried that and same outcome. I have also tried different sd memory cards.

The suggestion above to backup and use the generic latest Raspberry Pi OS for testing is good. How did you install the OS image to the SD card?

Are you seeing any activity on the LEDs?

followed the instructions and used the suggested https://retropie.org.uk/download/

Sequence of 4 blinking green lights. After some research I fought that this suggests that theSD card cannot be read. This is why I doubled checked the format and card compatibility. I tried three different cards and even bought a new card that is said to work perfect. Same result

How did you copy the image onto the MicroSD? I tried the 'Balana Etcher' and couldn't get it to boot. I had to use 'Rasberry Pi Imager' available at https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/raspbe ... g-utility/
That worked just fine. (Don't think there is anything wrong with your cables)

For the sake of troubleshooting, please try using the Raspberry Pi Imager:
https://www.raspberrypi.org/software/
to image the SD card. Use the latest Raspberry Pi OS Lite image for testing. At this point we are just trying to get the Pi to boot.

I am well aware of the issue with different operating systems copying images differently which results in the Raspberry Pi not being able to recognize the image. That is why I used the Raspberry Pi imager. offer on the website that is recommended in the instructions.

OK, and if you try booting using the Raspberry Pi Os Lite image (not Retro Pi), imaged using the Raspberry Pi Imager, what happens?
