Machine learning kit for Pi with braincraft hat

by 0cm on Sun Jul 25, 2021 5:03 am

Multiple problems: 1) screw length - fixed by buying longer, 2)hat not powerering up 3) Pi crashing - ran SanDisk 8G memory check and it failed speed checks. Checked the speed rating - only 4!!! (ok I should have looked first!!) Would appreciate replacement. Thanks

Please link to the product page for the kit you are working with so me can make sure what you have.

1) screw length - fixed by buying longer,

This was for mounting the fan?

2)hat not powerering up

This is after going through all the setup in the associated guide?

3) Pi crashing

Crashing how? Randomly? When trying to run something specific?

Thanks for replying: I bought the complete kit from Adafruit hoping that this would ensure integration, 1) there were 8 screws, 4 for the fan and another 4 too short to support the hat - in serious danger of touching the Pi. These had to be replaced. 2) the Pi/hat software I have since found on your website but so far have not succeeded in sending the camera image to the hat (only the Pi display). 3) Pi crashing seems to have been overcome by the purchase of a 10speed 8G microsd card (which I'd hoped might have been included in the kit) I believe the hardware is now complete and safe so there's only the software to struggle with: there is a lot of of it and I'm wondering if it requires an ssh connection rather than my keybd/mouse/hdmi. Sound and camera both work but the image (so far) only goes to the Pi display. Thanks, Mike

The info for getting the camera to show up on the TFT is covered here:

Did you follow the "easy way" or the "advanced way"?

There are few troubleshooting tips here also:
