Adafruit Looper RPI

by ThirstyO on Tue Nov 09, 2021 4:35 pm

Hello!

I am hoping someone could assist me with a problem installing Adafruit video looper.

I am no RPI expert, so bare with me please!

I have followed the instructions on multiple PIs that I have. I tried it on the RPI2 B+ and a few RPI4 units I have. The instructions are from https://learn.adafruit.com/raspberry-pi ... stallation

Oddly enough, I had one RPI4 that had an OS installed from a couple years ago and it worked great. But I cannot get it to work on any other PI. All have the same issue.

Upon the installation, I get two errors.

Fatal error: IL/OMX_Broadcom.h: No such file or directory
and
Fatal error: ilclient.h: No such file or directory.

I am guessing this is because I am missing a dependency of some sort? I am not sure!
I have tried installing it on RPI4 with the latest version RPI FULL OS, Lite OS and RPI OS (32 Bit)

Any tips to get me in the right direction would be great.

Thank you!

It seems to be an issue with the newest Raspberry Pi OS.

The default video player, omxplayer, can play most videos encoded with the H.264 video codec and in a video format with an certain extension
