COBBLER MOUNTED PI ZERO

Post by chasm »

Love the idea of mounting the pi zero on a cobbler. Any idea if this would work: cut the 40 pin right-angle female header at 26 pins (cut through the 14th row and trim) and run on an old style 26 pin straight cobbler. The extra pins on the 2x20 headers don't buy me anything and use valuable breadboard slots.

If you can get the physical interface to work, should be fine. The original 26 pins are common to all Pis.

The physical connection is what I was wondering about. Seems like I should be able to trim the 40 pin female header to fit. I hoped someone might say SURE THING before I bought the parts and started cutting.
