Links to "dangerous" web site

Post by darthjayhawk »

I recently purchased your P3531 1.3" LED Bonnet for Raspberry Pi. I was browsing through the documentation on:

https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-128 ... i?view=all

and clicking on the links to get all of the information before I attempted to use it. The links to the "Python Imaging Library" and to the "Pil's Drawing Commands" were both blocked by my anti-virus software as being "known dangerous website". The links in the PDF version also point to these sites:

http://effbot.org/imagingbook/pil-index.htm
http://effbot.org/imagingbook/imagedraw.htm

Needless to say, I won't be using those links. Someone should investigate why those links are pointing to "dangerous" website(s). Perhaps you've been hacked?

A google search for "python imaging library" brings up first:

www.pythonware.com/products/pil/

and it also shows the effbot.org site as second and Norton software says the site is "unsafe".

Hmmm. I tried from a few different machines - including one with Norton anti-virus and none complained. I will have our web team look into it.

Funny, two weeks later and Norton no longer complains about it? Oh well, sorry to have bothered y'all.
