Readonly SD Card has not NTP / Time is not correct.

by jacofourie on Mon Dec 04, 2017 3:12 am

Hi.

I followed this tutorial https://learn.adafruit.com/read-only-ra ... /overview#
It seems to work fine. But I lost my time. If I do a date it shoes 3 November 2016.

How do we get NTP back but still have the image readonly ?

Regards.

Jaco.

You can't do anything to the read-only image.. the name means exactly what it says.

You'll have to back out to the duplicate SD card the tutorial strongly suggested you make, configure NTP there, then make a read-only version of that OS image.

You can run `ntpdate` manually on the read-only image, but you'll have to do that every time you want to adjust the time.
