Pi Zero and Pi Zero W usb not working no keyb or mouse

Hello just got around to hooking up my pi 3 b+ with this same wireless keyb mouse setup (see pic) works fine but i also purchased a zero and zero w when i hook it up with the shown adapters the OS loads raspbian and i get to the desktop but have no mouse or keyb. When the system is loading i noticed a couple of usb errors number 71 ? Ive corupted the SD card by not being able to shut down the OS the right way .....please help Thanks

Are those OTG adapters or just size changers?

This is what i got---- Micro USB B Male to USB 2.0 A Female OTG Adapter Converter Cable LG Samsung Sony dont know if there correct anyway to tell or test?

Could it be the drivers for USB are not installed ??

Just to help anyone else with this problem it turned out to be the OTG cable i bought it was not a real one ; the wiring was for charge only.
