Joy Bonnet - Extra Buttons?

by Mr_Smigs on Wed Feb 13, 2019 12:21 pm

Is there a way to add extra buttons to a joy bonnet system?

For example, If I want to map out a SNES style controller, how do I add the shoulder buttons to the PiZero it's built on?

It's technically possible, but you'd have to tack jumpers onto the pins of the SMT header on the back of the Joy Bonnet.

The connections used in the PiGrrl Zero project should work:

cool, thanks.

Is there a pin-out diagram of what the joy bonnet actually uses (ordered mine, but it hasn't arrived yet)

We don't have a pinout, but the schematic shows the connections:
