Raspberry Pi 4 second monitor no longer allowing 1920x1080

Post by rjventrone »

I am having an issue with my new Pi 4 no longer allowing me to select 1920x1080 on the HDMI furthest away from the USB C port. When I first plugged it in and booted it up everything worked as expected but after unplugging and rebooting the pi I started to have issue with the second monitor. After a few reboots it would not recognize a second monitor was plugged in, I had to edit the config to get the second monitor to work again. I followed https://support.thepihut.com/hc/en-us/a ... ot-working steps and got the monitor working again. I have also tried following https://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-screen-resolution/ with no lock and I am still not able to select 1920x1080 on the second display. The max resolution I can select is 1024x768. The two monitors are identical The pi is only a few weeks old and this is the first time I have used it. I flashed the SD card with raspberry's flasher for mac. Any help would be appreciated.
