Cyber Desk

Post by RobMohr »

I working on designing a 3D printed enclosure for the combination of the Hyperpixel4 and the Cyber Desk when in use with a Raspberry Pi 400. I'm hoping someone has STL files for both the Cyber Desk and the Hyperpixel4 that could be used to design the enclosure around. If you just have one or the other, that would be great.

Cool project. This will get you the dimensional information and most of the way there. Let us know how it comes out.

The Cyberdeck Bonnet and HAT have CAD files available.

The Hyperpixel4 has a few general enclosure models that show up on yeggi.

I wasn't able to find the raw design files for the Hyperpixel4 which is a Pimoroni product. The is the closest source of info.

@mikeysklar this was very helpful. I'd looked around the Adafruit site and didn't find a link to those CAD files. Thanks for pointing me to the right spot.

I received a response from Pimoroni that they didn't have CAD available for the Hyperpixel4, which is unfortunate. I think I can manage a simplified CAD representation that will work for my purposes, but if anyone out there is more skilled in modeling, maybe they can try their hand at creating an STL or F3Z of it.

I did find the enclosures you had linked to. Haven't found one yet that would constitute a good starting point for what I want to accomplish, so I will likely scratch build it.

Good find on the grabcad site for the HyperPixel4 step files. Thank you for sharing the link. Glad the other CAD links helped.

Any progress on this? It would be very useful. I'd be happy to try out designs for you.

Hi Dave!

Yes, I've finished that project off. I posted some project completion pic's in the Adafruit Discord here:

I had one other person express interest in it and provided a bunch of files and details to him in direct messages in Discord. Send me a shout via Discord and I'll paste across everything to you as well. Find me here: Dhardrian#6238

@RobMohr,

If it is not too much trouble do you think you could post the files / photos / notes up on thingiverse?

mikeysklar,

I'll certainly do that. I won't have a chance to do so until next weekend however as I am out of town now.
