Is there a NEMA23 stepper compatible with the Raspberry Pi m

Post by keviin55 »

I bought the Adafruit DC and Stepper Motor HAT for Raspberry Pi. I was looking for a compatible stepper bigger than the NEMA17 but was not able to find any. Is this the maximum the hat can support? I maximum holding torque I was able to find with the compatible stepper I have found https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B06XRF ... UTF8&psc=1 is 26Ncm, but I need more.

I do not know of any NEMA 23 that are compatible. The maximum output of the motor HAT is 1.2A/phase. If you are looking to drive a stepper motor with maximum holding torque, you would use a 12v power supply and a motor with a phase resistance of 10 ohms.

www.pololu.com carries a wider selection of stepper driver boards and have several capable of driving most NEMA23 steppers.
