pi zero w 2 DOA?

Post by hammerhead8599 »

Hello
I just received my order from you and one item appears non functional. The pi zero w 2 shows no response whatsoever when plugged into the 5v 2.5A power supply I purchased on the same order. Once connected to this power supply nothing happens, no leds flashing. I plug in older pi zero w's and they boot from said power supply. Tried three different images and two different sd cards to no avail. all booted in the older zero.
How do we proceed from here?

Which images did you try and how were they imaged to the SD card?

What happens if you try this test?

Just got back to the pi zero 2. I am guessing the image I downloaded from raspberrypi.com was corrupted somehow. Redownloaded again and used etcher to burn. Works fine so far. I will notify you if there is any further issues.

Thanks for the assistance

Just FYI, the current most recent Raspberry Pi Imager, will by default, download the latest current Pi OS image. And set your SD card up as needed.
