Product 4340 Heatsink Fan Combo for Rasp Pi 4

Is there sufficient clearance for a Pi Cobbler / 2*20 pin cable to be attached to the GPIO pins ? I’m thinking about buying this for my Pi 4 which I use for video / image capture but would also like to use an extension cable to connect to a custom PCB I made for data acquisition for other projects.

I take it you would not be using the fans as there would be nowhere to plug in their power cable with a the 2x20 ribbon connector.

You might want to consider #4341 no fans.

Either way both units have "space for a GPIO cable to extend out from the Pi".

Good to hear re the clearance.
I'm going to power the fans with a separate power source so their won't be any problems trying to use the GPIO pin for fan power.

Gotcha. The seperate power source is a good solution.

Be sure not to over tighten the fans. They can rub and be quite loud if the screws are too tight.

I’ll be careful fastening them. Thanks for the tip. Should I put heatsink grease on the base of the heatsink or the Rasp Pi CPU, USB and LAN chips ?

No this will include some thermal pads for better contact with the heat sync.
