Hello, I received an order today and noticed the LED on ground is broken. Will this affect its function or should k be okay?

Looks like the image did not get posted. Is this the board you have?

Thanks. Is this the LED in question?
What is your indication that it is not working?- blaravie

Re: Broken LED on PCA9685
In general, the board should work fine without that LED. It is just a power indicator LED. It should come on when the board is powered via the VCC pin.

Okay so it won’t affect functionality?

Re: Broken LED on PCA9685
Correct. It should not affect functionality.
The schematic for that board is available here:
https://learn.adafruit.com/16-channel-p ... /downloads
There you can see the LED is simply connected to power.

Re: Broken LED on PCA9685
Just for a quick test I've wired up the Arduino to a PCA9685 board (similar to http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PCA9685-16-C ... Sw9ZdXKa7h) as follows
5v > Vcc & V+
GND > GND
A4 > SDA
A5 > DCL
OE > Not connected
I've wired a 1k resistor in series and an LED in between PWM0 and GND
The same LED dims fine when powered directly via PWM from the Arduino.
The power light on both boards come on and +5v is available at the V+ pins.
The library I'm attempting to use is https://github.com/kasperskaarhoj/PCA96 ... no-Library and from what I can tell the I2C address I've configured "works"
