Just received a Raspberry Pi 400 on 1st December 2021 and am unable to update the OS or Apps. There are several failure message as shown in the attached photo. What are my options? Note: I'm not a Linux expert. My primary OS experience is MS.

Re: Raspberry Pi 400 OS Update Failure
Dave, the mystery was solved. I didn't want to go too far with this and really bugger it up.
So, I assume Adafruit has not added value to the distribution. With that said,
First.... sudo apt update
Second.... sudo apt dist-upgrade
Third..... sudo apt clean
Lastly... sudo reboot
That should do it. Be patient.... it takes almost 30 minutes... maybe 45? And you may see "NEWS" informing you of changes. When finished with NEWS, hit q to return to the installation.
For the reader's information, the Broadcom BCM2711 System on Chip (SoC) in the RPi400 is an upgrade version from what you would get on the RPi4-B. For one thing it clocks faster... 1.8 Ghz.
I highly recommend you generate an image of the OS. Win32Diskimager comes to mind. You may, I assume, also make a copy of the micro SD from RPi OS menu Accessories.
Good luck.

Re: Raspberry Pi 400 OS Update Failure
You are correct, just use the standard Pi OS/distribution.
