Hello
I'm trying the "Miniature Keyboard- Microcontroller-Friendly PS/2 and USB Product ID: 857" with a RPizero W, but I'm not seeing any input response.
It is working with a RPi 4.
Any suggestions ?
thanks

How are you connecting the keyboard to the Zero? Some kind of USB-A to micro-USB adapter is necessary.

Check that to see if you can get a different USB device to connect through it. We've seen those go dead before.

I have tried several and no luck. Can you confirm this keyboard works with a RPi zero ? As I said previously, it works with a RPi 4.

Re: Miniature Keyboard with RPizeroW not working
Using this keyboard, lsusb shows for a RPi 3+ :
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 258a:0001 SINO WEALTH USB KEYBOARD
whereas for the RPi zero w it shows :
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Clearly it is not recognized. So is there a workaround, eg, driver?

Re: Miniature Keyboard with RPizeroW not working
It's a generic USB keyboard, so it should work equally well with any RasPi. There is no driver aside from the default one for all USB keyboards.
That's just the hub, which is what I'd expect to see if there was a hardware problem in the USB connection.jax200 wrote:Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Does that mean you've tried several known-working USB devices and none of them have been able to connect to the Zero? If so, that strongly suggests a connection problem.jax200 wrote:I have tried several and no luck.

Re: Miniature Keyboard with RPizeroW not working
It now works. The problem was the OTG cable adapters I was using, which I thought were ok for this application.
Thanks for your help and patience.
