Display compatability on Raspberry Pi 2

by Gastron on Thu Apr 23, 2015 1:03 pm

Just wondering if the display Pi TFT 2.8" 320x240 #1601C is compatible with the new Raspberry Pi 2 running 1 gig ram and quad core? Is there a cable?

Yes, it's compatible. You'll need a version of the OS that supports the TFT and touchscreen encoder, but those are available in the tutorial linked from the product page.

There's no cable. It plugs directly onto the GPIO pins.

Thanks, However the board has more pins then the display, so what pins are used. Not going to assume anything. perhaps a picture?

could we please have a link?

I've found various product pages and tutorials, but none linked to an RPi2 kernel.

as I already found out....
ie links from https://www.adafruit.com/products/1601
are to old kernel, or were last time I tried

@Gastron: if you're using pid 1601, plug it onto the same pins as the ones on the older RasPi. If you want one built specifically for the B+/v2 design, that's pid 2298: https://www.adafruit.com/product/2298

@peepo: the OS image is on the Easy Install page: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-pit ... sy-install
