Making a compass, not a watch/compass

by tomtechLA on Sun Jul 15, 2018 9:26 pm

Im trying to use the Flora, the LM303, and the neopixel to make just a compass. One led pointing north all the time. I have thus far gotten the 303 connected and I am seeing the x,y,z, on the terminal. However I am having a hard time hacking together the code to push this data out to the Neopixel.
If anyone has done this or has a suggestion for the code, please let me know. I am a Python Newbie, but do have some programming experience.
Thanks in advance.

First get your LM303 working, the guide goes into detail of the readings you should get https://learn.adafruit.com/lsm303-accel ... out/coding

The Adafruit Neopixel Uberguide is gets you familiar with neopixels https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-neo ... -neopixels

On the bottom of the product page, https://www.adafruit.com/product/1247 you will find links to a few projects in the Adafruit Learn section using the LM303. You can look through the code provided to get an idea of what can do with your data and neopixels. Browse through the rest of the Learn for more projects too! Good luck.
