Hi, I'm making a costume which will require around 100 leds. The leds need to 'chase' in sequence, just white no colour. My first idea was to use flora pixels with a Gemma or flora but with that quantity it is going to be quite expensive. I wondered if there is a way of using sequins instead? I know they do not have a data input, so if this is possible what controller would I need to use?
Thanks
What controller do I need? Pixels and sequins

In order to "chase" a regular LED you would need one pin per LED unless you wanted a "theater chase" which works in groups of three or four. We do not carry any controllers with enough pins to do the former. Take a look at the Neopixel strips to see if that might work for you.

Yes sorry should have said the leds would be in rows of 4 maybe 5, I'm trying to run the sequence along them then move on to another row of 4 or 5. If it means having more than one controller I could do that, I was just wondering if there was one that would do the job.
This is what I have so far, using neopixel rings and flora pixels with 2 gemma's. https://youtu.be/BwgAT9THC-8 The next thing I'm trying to achieve is to have rows of lights chasing up, in various places. I could maybe use the neopixel stick, would that make it easier?
Many thanks for replying
