Bracelet generates audio with movement

Post by galaktika »

Hi All,

I have a project plan in mind, nut to sure which components, boards to use.
The idea is to create a bracelet which is capable of detecting the movement (3 axis accelerometer) and generates sound depending on the movement.
Let's say I want to put it on my arm and moving like a robot this thing would generate robotic sounds. I'd love to hear more complex sounds in 16 bit or more so not just a piezo.
Also would be good to have different sounds to choose from during operation by pressing a button.
I might create a few of these and use them at the same time so I'd need a master where the sound selection can happen, but then all the slaves should know the master's will.
I'd mount small speaker(s) on the bracelet as well.
The size of the bracelet is also important. The smaller the better.

I'm not sure what board and accessories should I use. Should I use a laptop via wifi to calculate how the sound effected and distorted due to the movement (speed, direction, etc) and stream the result back to the bracelet? This way the sound selection could happen on the laptop it could be the master.

Any thoughts are welcome,
G
