EON tex Conductive Fabric used for heating

by A13231122312321 on Fri Mar 06, 2020 12:13 am

Hi, I'm trying to make an electrically heated glove. I bought the black eon tex fabric and attached it to ground and power in order to heat the fabric, but the heat didn't really spread to the rest of the fabric. Because the battery is small, I have relatively low wattage so how can I spread heat to the entire fabric? Or is conductive fabric not what I need in order to heat the fabric?

The current (and the heat it produces) will follow the path of least resistance. If you attach to just two points as shown in the product photo, just the area between those two points will heat up. To get heat over a wider area, you need to connect power and ground to multiple points distributed across the fabric.
