Have you tried a simple sound demo, such as on https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-prop-maker-featherwing/circuitpython?

I F-ing got it. Finally! Turns out the folder I had the sound files in was named "sound" and not "sounds". Now I got to pack it all into a LS6 Gullwing. Sure wish Adafruit made the Prop Maker in a Teensy.. Thank you so much for the help.

Awesome! Glad to here it. You should bring it onto Show & Tell.

Hi All,
I have the same issue: no sound. (project https://www.punishedprops.com/2019/12/16/ros-lightsaber - Adafruit boards 4145 and 3857)

Please could you share the code.py file and all other infos about loader, lib version, ecc?

Thank you

Hey Dave. I have everything packed in the hilt, with the first of 80 addressable LEDs, in the crystal chamber. When I turn the saber on, everything works great. Sounds, motion and clash sensor and the chamber lights up green and flashes white on clash, just like its supposed to. Now I'm assembling the blade using 79 WS2812D-F8 LEDs. When I test the strip, they turn on in sequence like supposed to, but light up in red. also get the ignite sound but no idle or clash sounds. When button is pressed to turn off, it shuts off immediately and doesn't come back on unless the battery is unplugged and plugged back in. When the strip (79 WS2812D-F8 LEDs] are disconnect ed, the boards run as they are supposed to.

How are you using the additional 79 LEDs? How are they wired in?

Like a ladder, (parallel I think), Positive on one side negative on the other, then out from one to in of the next, Alternating each side. I split the positive and negative wires to connect them half way and at the end of the string, it was a little bit more responsive to the on off feature but it was still red and would shut off when bumped to test the clash.
One last note, the Adafruit neopixel at the crystal chamber lights up green.

I'm still a littel confused. You got everything working with one strip of 80. Now you're using a different strip and having problems? The second strip isn't a NeoPixel strip?

One Breadboard-friendly RGB Smart NeoPixel in the crystal chamber of the light saber hilt, then 79 8mm Through-Hole LED's for the blade [https://www.ebay.com/itm/25x-WS2812D-F8-thru-hole-addressable-8mm-diffused-lens-RBG-LED-US-Seller/233536999259?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649]

The one Neopixel in the crystal chamber works right by it self. Its when I connect the rest that I get the glitches

OK. The first *1* of a total of *80*. Got it.

What happens if you use only the through-hole ones? I'm wondering if they may not be 100% compatible with NeoPixels.

Sconnolly,, quit now and just go get Black Series. lol

All I can tell you is that if you copied the code from the tutorial, then its not the issue. They update software frequently, so make sure you get the current library that goes with. Also always eject the drive in Windows before unplugging it from your computer.
This page helps a ton,

sconnolly: check your I2C connections. Power down the board and reconnect/boot. That error pops up at times. Any Adafruit I2C devices I've seen has built in pullups.
