Gemma M0 CircuitPython Upgrade Fail

by JanCilliers on Sat Mar 28, 2020 11:10 pm

Hi,

So I'm pretty new to all this so, probably doing something incorrectly.

I just purchased a Gemma M0 and am following this guide to upgrade to the newest version of CircuitPython :
https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-gem ... cuitpython

However, once I install v5, the CIRCUITPY drive doesn't have enough space to put the Gemma Default LIB files back on... or anything really. It has 36kb after a clean install. Feels like I'm back in 1992 with 5x25" floppy disks hahah.

Anyway.... would love to use this Gemma with CircuitPython like it was designed to do. Please help!

The library bundle grows over time is is often too big to all fit on the boards (depending on how much SPI flash is on a board). The advise, which you'll see this in project guides, is to only copy libraries that are required by your project to the lib directory in CIRCUITPY.
