Gemma M0 mood ear rings

Post by off10high »

I am trying to make some wearable ear rings that change color animations according to the temperature
when the gemma m0 is plugged in it works beautiful. When trying to opporate with the CR2032 coin cell battery holder i glued to the back of it the dotstar goes pink and the led blinks red. if i hit reset they both go red. I can not find what this color combination means. under volt, over volt, short somewhere know idea why it isnt happy any help is appreciate

Well, that's a 3v battery and the Gemma M0 has a 3.3v regulator on it to power the board. That regulator requires at least a touch more that 3.3v to work. I suspect the CR2032 is simply supplies too low of a voltage. What about a small 3.7v Lipo? Maybe a 150mAh?
