Post by curvenut »

Hi,

I have a DIY project for a heated glove.
And I am looking for a heated tape to glue into a glove liner.
The heated element will be hooked into a USB power bank.

I have a friend who use a carbon tape but I am wondering it another product will works.

Actually, it's difficult to suggest anything without knowing the circuit fully. However, if you're looking for conductive tape, then you can use Conductive Nylon Fabric Tape. It is good as long as you do not need to solder anything with it. You can only sew through it. But, if you need to solder any component with the tape, you'd better use copper tapes.

I would expect that the Nylon tape is a bit too conductive for use in a heating application.

This product is probably a better choice. https://www.adafruit.com/product/3670

We don't have a firm data on re-stocking. But if you register for notifications, you will get an email as soon as it is back in stock.

You can also check with some of our distributors. Some of them may still have it on the shelves:
