Getting Pro Trinket 5v to "instantly" boot

Post by Howme »

I'm trying to learn how to have the Pro Trinket "instantly" turn on when externally powered by say a wall supply and not have any delay, or the least amount of delay. Ultimately I'd still like to have the bootloader run if it is connected vis usb. I understand that the Optiboot does this to an extent and it does work on my Pro Trinket, but when powered via 5v power supply (not USB and no USB attached) there is still a delay in running the program. Is there a way to remove this delay and still have the Optiboot run if USB is connected?

Thanks in advance.
