I just bought Adafruit trinket pro 5v and tried to run it in arduino IDE.
I installed Adafruit AVR boards and board drivers and all, but it does not appear on the COM port.
Removing USB and reinstalling, switching the usb cable to the other one, inserting the cable in another port.. not helps
Its LEDs blinks and the computer recognizes the USB(both USB tiny and USB composite).
And I tried to set board to both USB and FTDI but nothing happened. Is this the matter of the device itself?
I have a very urgent project to do with this so please help me troubleshoot..

Re: Trinket pro 5v not recognized
Are you using an FTDI cable? The 'bit-bang' USB firmware does not work well with current generation USB ports, which is why we have deprecated these boards.

An FTDI cable or FTDI Friend should show up as a COM port as soon as you plug it in.Deprecation Warning: The Pro Trinket bit-bang USB technique it uses doesn't work as well as it did in 2014, many modern computers won't work well. So while we still carry the Pro Trinket so that people can maintain some older projets, we no longer recommend it.
