I can't seem to read or update my trinketboot drive

by Pacm0n on Wed Aug 22, 2018 5:21 pm

Hi, I just received my Trinket M0 and I'm having a problem with TRINKETBOOT.
I can see Circuitpy no problem, but when I try to use Trinketboot I can't see what's inside or copy to it.

I'm using Windows 7, and have followed your install instructions and installed driver adafruit_drivers_2.3.1.0.exe.

The weird thing about this is every time my PC is installing drivers it fails at the second one (for the bootloader)

I've tried 4 USB slots on the front of my PC and a rear one.

Please help me, as I'm at wit's end here.

Are you running AIDA64? If so turn it off. It interferes with TRINKETBOOT.

We've had several reports of this recently. I think maybe I'll put a warning in the Learn Guides somewhere, and maybe point out this issue to the AIDA64 folks.

AIDA64 users: The AIDA64 folks have a beta version that they hope fixes the problem. Info here:
https://forums.aida64.com/topic/4296-uf ... to-freeze/
If you try it could you report back there and/or here? Thanks.
