Q. Can Trinket M0 use a SPI Bluetooth

by Blueshark on Thu Jan 31, 2019 5:59 pm

I'm trying to connect an SPI Bluetooth (see link) to a Trinket M0....
https://www.adafruit.com/product/2633

The Trinket M0
Digital #2 is Hardware MISO
Digital #3 is Hardware SCK
Digital #4 is Hardware MOSI

This leaves me with 2 Digital pins to use on my project which is fine.... but what about the other pins on the SPI Bluefruit Bluetooth... CS, IRQ, and RST... are those pins just left out and the SPI Bluefruit Bluetooth Module will work?

Cheers

The RST pin is optional:
https://learn.adafruit.com/introducing- ... pinout-4-2
so you might be able to just get it to work using your 2 remaining pins for CS and IRQ. But the driver would need to support that. For example, the current version of the CircuitPython driver requires it:
https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_Ci ... est.py#L10
and for Arduino you would have to use hardware SPI:
https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_Bl ... _SPI.h#L90

So, it *might* be possible, but pretty tight.
