1st Time Trinket User - IDE Not Working Right? - Board Manag

by Benallen1024 on Sun Mar 17, 2019 11:15 am

Howdy,

1st time poster and adafruit trinket user. I am running into a bit of an issue finding my board for the Trinket in the boards or board managers. I've tried to download other boards, trinket drivers and nothing seems to be working. Also having a port issue? Not sure what this means since I am totally new. I appreciate the help all.

Downloaded drivers from here : https://learn.adafruit.com/introducing- ... dows-setup

Here is an imgur post of the screen caps of the issues I'm running into if this helps.

Thanks,

Ben

Which Trinket? 5v, pro, M0....

AVR 3.3/ 5v: did you add the correct adafiles for all the boards to the arduino IDE? I do not see any adafruit trinkets listed.

If so you will also have to use the tinyUSB under 'programmer' to load it......

Trinket M0 is easier to use.....

Yes! This was perfect! Thank you for helping me get the boards uploaded. It worked like a dream. Now I just need to learn how to code for RGBW strips

your welcome. Glad you have progressed. The fun factor (with or without the parallel challenge factor) is about to get exponentially better!
