Pro Trinket 5v - avrdude ERROR

by AntoineGodfather on Sat May 11, 2019 1:35 pm

Hello,

I just followed the adafruit steps to upload "blink" in my Pro Trinket 5V 16MHz with USBtinyISP.

I installed the adafruit drivers several times, the red led is pulsing in bootloader mode before the upload, i reprogrammed the bootloader several times, i rebooted my computer several times.

But after several attempts, i always get this output message:

Le croquis utilise 930 octets (3%) de l'espace de stockage de programmes. Le maximum est de 28672 octets.
Les variables globales utilisent 9 octets de mémoire dynamique.

The errors look like you have an intermittent connection between the computer and the Pro Trinket.

Try using a different USB cable and see if that helps. At USB speeds, the cable is a component, and they aren't all made the same. Sometimes you get one that a microcontroller just doesn't like.

Thank you for your suggestion,

Finally i bought an other pro trinket and a ftdi friend.

After several tests:

*The usb connection of the topic's pro trinket doesn't work, and its ftdi connection works.

*The usb and ftdi connections of the other pro trinket work.

So i think that the problem come from the pro trinket. I forgot to say that i had already tested others usb cables.

Antoine.

Post a photo showing the component side of the Pro Trinket whose USB connection doesn't work please, along with any other connections you've made to the board. 800x600 images usually work best.
