Killing off the snake

So, love this little Trinket MO thing. Lots under the hood, cheap as dirt, all in tiny package.

How can I strip out all this Python stuff that turns on the RGB LED and who knows what else its up to. Along with this annoying virtual disk that keeps popping up messages on my screen about not being ejected properly etc. I'd just like to have this hot little c++ board without all this other stuff.

Any binary you upload such as an Arduino sketch will replace the CircuitPython installation that is causing you issues. Just do whatever you want with C++; it won't interfere.

I don't think so. I have c++ blink running and still get a disk image on my desktop and the neopixel is still lit up. I see the blinking red LED, so it is running.

Hey thanks for the link! At least it should help me to understand what I'm dealing with.

What is the name of the folder that is still showing up?

That's the bootloader, which is there for CircuitPython or Arduino. If you've uploaded an Arduino sketch, it generally should not show up unless you've put it in bootloader mode with a double press of reset.

Do you have an Arduino sketch running and are seeing that folder at the same time?

We don't really have an alternative bootloader at this time. You can solder to the SWD pins, that's the only thing we can recommend.
