Trinket project help needed

by Steven_Borchert on Sat Jun 29, 2019 11:10 pm

Hi, I am new to the Trinkets and Adafruit products altogether. I have a really small project that I need the smallest chip possible with a battery that I can charge directly from plugging in the chip, and will need to operate one micro servo. What is my best bet for the chip/ battery? The servo will only move a fraction of a degree every few minutes. Nothing too serious. any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

How much experience do you have with microcontrollers in general, and the Arduino IDE specifically?

A 5V Trinket would be able to generate control signals for a servo:

but the ATtiny85 is a resource-constrained chip and can be kind or challenging to work with.

None of our really small boards have built-in LiPo chargers, but will work from a LiPo Backpack that provides the same general function:

Also, do you specifically need a small chip? This is one of those areas where minimalism creates more work than a bit of overkill.
