PyRuler - Omega Touchpad Inoperable or DOA?

by n2tia on Tue Aug 13, 2019 10:37 am

(Posting to Trinket M0 Forum, since there's no separate PyRuler Forum. Yet?)

Just got my PyRuler. Yay! Wanted to do a quick check:
Connected it to +5V microUSB and it seems to boot up as you'd expect from a Trinket M0.
LEDs 4, 5, 6, 7 (Omega, Mu, Pi, DigiKey) come on in sequence, then go out.
Each touchpad lights up its respective LED,
*Except* Omega (leftmost touchpad). which does nothing.
The PyRuler product page video shown the Omega touchpad working as expected.
Is my Omega Touchpad thus DOA?
K.

That's possible.

Could you post a photo showing the component side of the ruler please? I'd like to check the components and PCB traces. 800x600 images usually work best.

Hi MIke,
Here's the business end of this PyRuler. If you need the tail end of it, just let me know, as well as your conclusions.
Thanks!

Everything seems to be in place, thank you.

Send a note containing a link to this page and your order number to support@adafruit.com. The folks there will get you a replacement PyRuler.
