M0 turn off dotstar in Arduino

by Natecam on Thu May 07, 2020 7:30 pm

(warning a bit of a ramble. If you want, skip and go to next paragraph for my question) I was porting over an old Arduino code to CircuitPython for some neopixel goggles I made a few years back as I switched to an M0 on account of problems with the old trinket bootloader. Unfortunately I ran into performance issues on Circuitpython. Updating all 32 pixel animation seems to take .030 sec, which is about half of what I would like for my application. I could do a hardware fix and wire the neopixel rings in parallel I suppose (getting me 2x speed as it would just clone animation for one eye) eh, don't feel like doing that at the moment. I understand that is one of the limitations of CircuitPython. that's fine, I will just update my old Arduino code. So here is my question:

In Arduino, what code do i need to turn off the dotstar on the board of a Trinet m0? Thanks!

Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
#include <Adafruit_DotStar.h>
Adafruit_DotStar dotstar = Adafruit_DotStar(1, INTERNAL_DS_DATA, INTERNAL_DS_CLK, DOTSTAR_BGR);

void setup() {
    dotstar.begin();
    dotstar.fill(0);
    dotstar.show();
}

void loop() {
}
