Motor control

by everettdale on Tue Jun 09, 2020 3:00 pm

Can the trinket M0 control a really small dc motor via PWM without a motor control board. Actually 2 motors and I'm talking really small, something like this...

I don't think so but thought I'd ask

thanks

Directly driving a motor from a GPIO pin is likely to damage the pin. But you don't need a motor controller. A simple transistor circuit will do fine: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-ard ... s/overview

perfect, that was what I was searching for. Well not exactly (M0 vs UNO) but close enough. I can probably figure out the code for circuitpython

thanks
