Analog output voltage from Trinket M0

by RockB on Sun Jun 28, 2020 1:00 am

The trinket M0 documentation says that pin #1 (A2) is capable of (10 bit DAC) analog output.

What is the maximum analog output voltage? Is it 3.3v? or VIN (Battery input voltage)? I am using 4.2V 2A charger input through JST battery port to power the trinket.

What would it take to scale the analog output voltage to 10v? I want to interface it with a PLC analog input card that accepts 0-10V or 4-20mA analog input.

Maximum output will be 3.3v as that's the supply voltage to the MCU (post regulator). Vbat and Vbus/USB only feed the regulator (and their associated pins). To get a higher amplitude signal, you will need an amplifier with an appropriate frequency response.
