PRO - TRINKET 5V NOT RECOGNIZED

Post by Methiu_Magius »

Hi,

I have bought Pro-Trinkets 5V for a project, I have tried several ports and several cables and still the Pro-Tinket does not go into bootloader mode, I tried both on Mac (BigSur) and Windows (Windows 10). On Windows I have installed the latest drivers, and still when plugged-in it won't recognized it as a USBTiny, it shows recognition error code 00043.
I have tried several ports, and hubs with several different cables, with no-luck. What could be causing the problem?

It could be:
Deprecation Warning: The Pro Trinket bit-bang USB technique it uses doesn't work as well as it did in 2014, many modern computers won't work well. So while we still carry the Pro Trinket so that people can maintain some older projects, we no longer recommend it.
That's the first line of the description on the product page) and applies to all the old Trinket and ProTrinket boards.
