trouble powering Trinket M0 from battery

Post by bblack7489 »

I'm trying to power my Trinket M0 directly from a single lipo cell.

I'm reading 4.14 V from the cell, and am getting that on the Gnd and Batt pens on the trinket itself; however it doesn't appear to be powering up. Is there something else to enable, or did I get a Trinket with a bad on-board regulator?

Can you post a clear photo of the Trinket with battery attached.

Well, I found and sort of fixed the problem.

There wasn't continuity between the Batt pin and the Vin pin on the voltage regulator. There must be a broken trace or cold solder somewhere. I used magnet wire and wired around it. It works but just looks a little rough

For completion, this is the circuit.
