I'm using an older trinket here, micro USB, 2015, I've looked into the USB drivers and they do show up in the device manager as the USBtiny, I've tried using an older version of Arduino IDE 1.8.6 as well as their latest 1.8.16 as well as 2.0.
2.0 gives me the following error despite having the USBtinyISP loaded:
Upload error: Error: 3 INVALID_ARGUMENT: A programmer is required to upload
I'm fairly confident the device works since I can still run a single neopixel off of it but am unable to upload the code for the goggles.

I've also confirmed that the USB cable is a data cable and I'm connected to a USB 2.0 port.
Attached is a windows driver error I get when plugging it in.
Thanks,

Re: Getting the following errors
I have no idea about the windows side ot this, but that trinket is deprecated and not recommended because uploading to it is iffy. As stated at the top of the product page:
DaveDeprecation Warning: The Trinket bit-bang USB technique it uses doesn't work as well as it did in 2014, many modern computers won't work well. So while we still carry the Trinket so that people can maintain some older projects, we no longer recommend it. Please check out the Trinket M0. It has built-in USB, more capabilities, and is comparable in price!
