Bluefruit Connect shows only the Info module

by nico_ on Sat Oct 17, 2020 6:07 pm

Hi all! Brand new to bluetooth.

I have the ItsyBitsy nRF52840 Express with BLE and have uploaded the example controller.ino sketch from the intro guide.
When I connect to the board using the Bluefruit app (v3.3.2 on Android 10) I can see only the Info module, and can't see the controller, location, color picker, etc.
It seems as if this has happened to someone else, but their problem seems to have resolved itself on re-connecting. I've had no such luck after re-uploading, restarting the phone, etc.

Looking at the part of the Bluefruit Connect source which populates the Modules menu, it seems like this should only happen if neither DFU nor UART are reported as services. The app indicates that UART is available when connecting, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Thanks for any help!

Hey nico - I was able to test the code on nRF52832 w Android, but I don't have an 840 on hand to try. You could try hathach's suggestions in this thread:
https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_nR ... issues/580

Commenting out line 34 to remove the Serial delay is definitely worth a shot:
Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
while ( !Serial ) delay(10);
